For our readers near Asheville, NC, I wanted to make you aware of a very cool event that will be occurring downtown on October 15th. Parsec Financial, a leading wealth management firm in Asheville, will be hosting the Parsec Prize 5k.
This will be a perfect time to run a 5k, with fall colours and gorgeous weather. The race will loop through the historic Montford district in North Asheville and return to Parsec HQ at Wall Street. Also note that 100% of the entry fees from this race go to charity. Runners have the choice to donate their (very reasonable) $25 entry to one of four local organizations:
Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project
Asheville Symphony
Industries for the Blind
The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Buncombe County
